Children are never going to suprise me!

Now I am a true believer in the fact that my babies are just what I love and need in my day to day life to survive. When there is stress they often just make me laugh, and when there is worry they just enjoy the now and not get concerned by the tomorrow.
They are just amazing and I must say I have learned more about myself and the person that I want to be just from being their mommy. They push me to not only survive but to excel to heights that I didn't even know I wanted or could reach. Now I am one of those mommy's that sets high standards for both my children morally, educationally, and especially spiritually. It is to their advantage to have all of these area's in their lives figured out when they are grown up, and it is my concern as well as responsibility to help guide them.
So when my oldest declared that she was a firm believer in reincarnation, I had to sit back and listen to her reasons as well as take the time to research the topic. And when she then declared that she may want to look into Buddhism I had to respect that as well and order some books on the subject. Now do I want to be Buddhist? No, but I am one to really look into this interest of hers and have an open mind. Plus, why shouldn't we all look into things that we are interested in as well as research those topics that puzzle us. I want my children to have and keep an open mind on all topics that are unknown to them, instead of just assuming things with out any knowledge. This is a great advantage that I have given my children, I don't claim to know all and nor do I state anything I believe is law.
So during the next month which is a HUGE Christian/Catholic month for their religion me and my girl will be looking into the topics of Reincarnation, and the basis for the Buddhist religion. I will of course keep you all posted and can't wait to learn what there is out there for me and my girl!
