As a mother of four there are those certain ages that represent a new milestone in their lil life. Today was filled with these, from ear piercing for the lil girls, to the first trip to Victoria secrets, and of course I being the sensitive mommy was in tears for all of the above! I was like Alice in Wonderland when she flooded the room because she grew too tall!
I mean just picture the scene, sweet lil girl gets measured finds her perfect fit and goes to try in on. Asks mommy to look to see if it fits with the sales girls, mommy sees daughter and the flood gates open! I mean yall yall know sometimes once those gates open you just can't hold the tears back! There is definitely a special spot in my heart for my first baby and to see her become an amazing young lady just brought on the tears. Now don't get me wrong I can't wait for her to spread her wings and fly into this great big world, but doesn't it happen a little to fast?
So with the amazing children that I have been blessed with it is on days like this I am reminded that this time in my life is truly fleeting, the days quickly turn to months, and months into years. I guess my best bet is to embrace all they are and all they are going to become. You see sometimes we need to take a step back and enjoy all that we are involved with in the moment rather than trying to jump into the future. So with today's milestones I am reminded that there are going to be more to follow and I must cherish every minute!
